The chapter presents manuscript catalogues of the libraries of Andrzej Ogiński and Marcjan Ogiński, a list of books kept in Rietavas, publications in various languages from the Ogiński library in Plungė, books from libraries of the Ogiński women married into other magnate families of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, provenance marks found in the books (ownership inscriptions, library seals, bookplates); texts about the collections owned by the Ogińskis. Part of the books by the libraries owned by the family are presented in the chapters (“The Preservation of the Ogiński Memory in Literature” and “Literature”. The chronological range of the documents is 1550 – the first half of the 20th century.
